Happy Veterans Day from Arts Horizons!

Arts Horizons salutes our veterans, and we are grateful for their incredible service to our country. We are fortunate to have veterans Larry Washington and Cynthia “Lady Rose” Roberson as part of our incredible roster of AH Teaching Artists. One of our longtime teaching artists specializing in percussion, Larry was stationed on the USS Dixon AS-37 submarine tender at Point Loma, CA from 1973-1976. Lady Rose, whose Ritta Book literacy program has been a hit with our youngest students, served as a Military Police Sergeant in the US Army from 1988-1994.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation through Network for Good to Arts Horizons to help us and our AH Teaching Artists continue transforming lives through the arts. Even the smallest gift of $10, combined with other donations, can make a difference in the lives of those we serve!

About Arts Horizons

Arts Horizons is a premier not-for-profit arts-in-education organization that provides live professional performances and artist-in-residence programs to students and professional development for teachers throughout the entire tri-state region. Our commitment is to make music, art, dance, theatre, new media and creative writing an integral part not only of learning, but of life. Through the transformative impact of the arts, we reach young people through many dimensions, breaking down the barriers of language and culture, accelerating personal growth, and stimulating children’s full potential to prepare them for life in the twenty-first century.
