A Message from Jessica Pimentel (From OITNB)

Jessica Pimentel, from Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black shares her gratitude for the arts and urges the call to keep the arts in our schools and communities. Jessica is a musician, actress and graduated from New York’s LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in 1995, where she played violin before focusing more on acting. The 1980 dramatic film ‘Fame’ was based on student life at this prestigious high school, which is also the alma matter of several of our extraordinary AH teaching artists.

In this new video message, Jessica shares how the arts can help release our stress, anxiety and fear; express sadness and grief; share love, devotion and unity. Such critical elements during this unique time. Please listen to Jessica’s new message and follow the call to support Arts Horizons continue to educate, heal and unite through the arts.

Be part of the change with Arts Horizons as we educate, heal, and unite our schools and communities through the arts. Please follow and support our campaign to CREATE A NEW HORIZON FOR ARTS HORIZONS, running through December 15th, 2020.
