Assembly Spotlight: Improv 4 Kids



Arts Horizons is excited to feature one of our newest assembly groups, “Improv 4 Kids” who presents interactive musical comedy to audiences and classrooms. Improv 4 Kids doesn’t simply entertain kids- it engages them. Kids learn and participate in comedy arts through improvisation, music, storytelling, dance, pantomime, and theatre. Improv 4 Kids uproarious show channels, inspires and rewards creative energy through interactive comedy.
The Improv 4 Kids ensemble treated students at Joseph F. Quinn Intermediate School 77 to an interactive show that creates skits and songs on the spot based on student and teacher suggestions and participations. The games are exercises that promote creativity, out of the box thinking, are very interactive and loads of fun. Brodsky, Dean Joseph F. Quinn Intermediate School 77 shared the following:

About the Artist/Assembly Leader: Professionally acting since the mid-90s, Walt Frasier has been performing (5000+ professional shows live from Times Square, NYC and touring Nationwide) and teaching Improv Comedy since 2002. In addition to his successful Times Square School, Walt Frasier works with corporate teams, college groups and K12 schools, using Improv create much needed laughter and teaching creativity, public speaking skills and self-confidence. Since March 2020, Walt has logged 1000+ hours teaching/performing online via ZOOM and other platforms. Walt Frasier is a founding member of EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH, former director of instruction for the Comedy Hall of Fame, and has international credits in TV (Billions, Blue Bloods, Royal Pains, Lilyhammer, Letterman etc), Theater (Off Broadway, Regional & Touring) and Music (Opera, Concert Soloist).
