‘Can You Draw The Internet?’ to Support Arts Education in NYC Public Schools

After a successful campaign for Europe’s Internet Week in 2010, a UK-based digital agency, Saint has teamed up with deviantART, ArtWeLove, The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment and the The NYC Department of Education to bring ‘Can You Draw the Internet?’ (CYDTI) to New York’s Internet Week (June 6 -13). CYDTI is challenging students, creatives and established artist to capture the essence of the World Wide Web on one page.

Submissions are in and from June 6-9, 2011 the Internet Week NY HQ Gallery at Metropolitan Pavilion will include images from famed artists like Seth Indigo Carnes, Shelter Serra, Shaun Friesen, Douglass Rushkoff and Josh Harris as well as the best submissions from CYDTI. Pieces will be available for sale on ArtWeLove.com and all proceeds will be donated to support arts education in New York City public schools through The Fund for Public Schools.
